A short history, not only to show you where we have been, but also where we are going.

Although not called GLOWFISH DEVELOPMENT from the start, the path of development and natural maturing into current operations is clear.

My name is Jaco Visser and early in life I found myself working in positions in production, economics, financial and marketing.
To round off the learning curve, I engaged in a private venture to develop game farms. This allowed me the freedom to really appreciate my natural surroundings and work within those constraints that it presented me with. I take great pride in my creations that allowed customers to escaped from their busy lives in the city and experience nature’s best at close hand, and yet have the amenities of home.

Lessons learned from these experiences, inspired me to start Glowfish Development. In pace with my natural tendency to take on challenges, I started off by renovating an old house in Waterkloof Pretoria into the noticeable splendor that it is today. Truly a landmark that is noticed by everyone who drives past.

Trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, we relocated our main centre of operations to a small town on the West Coast of South Africa, called Yzerfontein. Truly an undiscovered jewel in South Africa’s crown. Ask anyone who has visited. Current expansion into another well known West Coast town, Langebaan, where we are hard at work in the holiday properties and building contractor activities.
Taking on the challenges of the local environment, we have created homes that suits all. From up marked three-storey houses, almost on the breaking waves, to single storey homes for the budget buyer.

Constantly looking for new opportunities and challenges we have decided to broaden our scope and have acquired properties throughout South Africa. Mainly in coastal resorts and Golf estates. Tour our current property pages for more info.
